1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using SimpleSchools (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

SimpleSchools provides a web-based school management platform that enables schools to manage students, collect fees, track attendance, record results, and communicate with parents. The Service is accessed via a subdomain or custom domain provided to each school.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

4. Payment Terms

Paid plans are billed on a per-student-per-month basis. Fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law. We may change our pricing with 30 days’ notice. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service or its systems.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any malicious code.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
• Use the Service to send unsolicited messages (spam).

6. Data Ownership & Privacy

You retain ownership of all data you submit to the Service. We process your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We implement reasonable security measures to protect your data, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SimpleSchools shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted within 30 days unless we are required to retain it by law. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the Service.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Nigeria.
